somewhere in the media each month. It seems that the world's press,

representatives of the London Cab trade. If you see mention of DaC in the press or TV - local or national level - let Call Sign know and it could be included in Media Watch... Media WatchCartoon Capers Dial-a-Cab recently featured in London's evening paper, the Evening
Standard, once again with a cartoon depicting frustrated tube-travellers
waiting on the platform. Drawn on the platform wall is an advert for
Dial-a-Cab, with a London Underground logo and the following words
underneath, "Is it driving you round the bend? Then try

which also had two full colour pics of Gary studying his lunch after
agreeing to take part in some dietary research. Gary, who drives a cab in
addition to working at BH, is trying to win a trip to New York in return
for beating other overweight people in a weight loss competition. The
heading of the article: Flabby Cabbies are Meat and Drink to Scientists
was hardly flattering, but as Gary told Call Sign: Caught on Camera! Brian Rice, Aubrey Siteman and Allen Togwell appeared in Taxi Globe, photographed on-board the HQS Wellington at the Posh Nosh and Drinks charity evening, which helped raise money to take seriously ill children and their carers to Disneyland. Can you believe that it is
already August and the football season is once again back! So for those
to whom the season represents more that just a game, Call Sign is giving
drivers and staff the chance to win three pieces of unusual memorabilia.
The three prizes are as follows:
|
Just print your name, call sign and telephone number
(or staff position if you work at BH) on a post card or sealed envelope.
Send it to Call Sign at the usual BH address or drop it into the
Driver's Reception. |
If you are only
interested in one item, mention it on your entry. If it has gone, we
won't bother notifying you. Otherwise the first three names pulled out
will get a choice of what is left. Good luck... |
