Brian and Brenda at a recent celebrationCS: I can't begin to imagine the thoughts that must have rushed through
your head when you realised that Brian had suffered a heart attack literally just a few
metres from where you were sitting. Does the moment stay with you or has it been blanked
out?
BR: The day Brian had his heart attack was very frightening for both myself and my
daughter, as we were both with him when it happened. Because we got him to Hospital so
quickly there was very little damage to his heart. He has now recovered extremely well,
and is probably fitter and healthier than he has been for many years. I aim to keep him
that way, but will never forget that awful day.
CS: What would be your perfect day?
BR: My perfect day would quite simple really; a beautiful sunny day in the garden
with my family and a barbecue; my son making us laugh with his witty jokes and both the
children taking the mickey out of us oldies as they call us. |

CS: What do you think of the licensed taxi trade?
BR: I think we have the best licensed taxi trade in the world - well thats
what Brian tells me! No really, I always ask my friends when they travel abroad about the
taxis there and they all say that they are not a patch on the taxis in London. I agree
with them. However, I think the licensed trade should be extremely vigilant and keep an
eye on the legislation that is now going through.
CS: Does Brian have any irritating habits and do you think he would agree with your
answer?
BR: Does he have any habits that irritate me? Well, he is very impatient and wants
things done immediately. He will not put off until tomorrow what can be done today. He
also does too many things himself and does not delegate enough. Those two points irritate
me and I think that he would agree. There is one last irritation that he doesnt know
he has, but he sometimes grinds his teeth whilst asleep
.
CS: The Chairman has insisted on no bedroom secrets so well call it a day!
Thank you, Brenda
