The staff at Brunswick
House are a very important part of the Dial a Cab organisation. In fact, without them
there wouldn't be an organisation! So Call Sign aims to make this their magazine too. In
each issue, we'll introduce some of the people who work for Dial a Cab yet have never
driven a cab in their lives....
WHOS WHO
This months Whos Who takes a look at a pair of part-timers. See if you can
guess who the fathers are!
REED FISHER
Reed has been with Dial-a-Cab for almost ten years, working usually just on Sundays. He has the job that nobody in the Call Centre really
likes to do - that of ring-backs; when the telephonist has to ring a client
back to inform them if there is no cab in the area. Fortunately the situation doesnt
arise too often, but having to tell someone there is no cab can be an upsetting position.
Reed is taking an Open University course as well as being half way through a college
course sponsored by Ford (UK). His hobbies include football and snooker, anything to do
with computers and playing the piano. He also likes looking at photos of his dad! Reed is
engaged to the gorgeous Lara and allows her to look at his dads photo too! As for
Dial-a-Cab, Reed thinks that "
they are an excellent company with forever
expanding technology and I really enjoy working for them very much. I also think that the
magazine is great and I like the Editors photo!"
BILLY RICE
Billy has been with Dial-a-Cab since February 98
and his job is in the Call Centre as a calltaker. He works for two days every week -
Friday and Sunday and in between studies hard at Brunel University where he is doing a
course in Media Studies. He is a keen footballer, representing the new DaC team that is
currently knocking its opposition sideways in addition to playing for his University
side. He is also a season ticket holder at Queens Park Rangers and says about that choice;
"Someone has to do it!" Socially, Billy enjoys the odd few hours on his Sony
Play Station, occasional visits to the cinema and is known to frequent the odd club and
pub! As for his views on Dial-a-Cab, he enjoys working there very much saying that the
friendly atmosphere contributes to a thriving business. Billy denies rumours that he is on
double pay with a company car! He went on to say that the Chairman is doing a wonderful
job
