John Hillier (Y77)
has been on Dial-a-Cab for over 20 years "…but I’ve never
been in Call Sign!" Well we put that to rights when we heard
that John has become the first DaC driver to purchase a TTT
from the newly restructured Metrocab (UK) company. John’s two sons – Paul (Y55) and Tim (Y61) - are also with Dial-a-Cab having both been with the Society since gaining their licenses. John has already had a number of Metrocabs prior to now buying the latest TTT and both sons also drive the TTT. "Believe it or not," said John, "none of us have ever had any problems whatsoever. It really is a remarkable vehicle. Some drivers don’t like the shape of the vehicle, but of course the main problem why drivers do not trust Metrocab, is due to the number of times they keep going bust." John continued: "I had my old TTT for four years, again with no problems whatsoever and I have now sold it to a DaC colleague, Darren French (F63).
