Saturday 2 July saw the annual JPMorgan Fun Day that was held this year at Lingfield Park in Sussex. The purpose of the day was to raise money for charity with this year’s beneficiary being the Lords Taverners, a charity who endeavour - amongst other things - to provide coaches for various children’s organisations such as clubs and schools in an endeavour to enable less fortunate children to move away from their normal habitat.
This years event was slightly different to those that have taken place in the past when JPMorgan suppliers sponsored different activities such as quad bikes or
octopus rides etc and all money collected on the day would go to that year’s chosen charity. This year however, JPMorgan chose another route by sponsoring all the rides themselves, but allowing suppliers to donate various different gifts for either the raffle or the auction.   DaC were delighted to participate in such a worthy cause and donated a suitable prize for the auction. J.P.Morgan invited DaC Chairman Brian Rice and his wife Brenda to attend the Fun Day

Brian what he thought of the day.
“I was delighted to be invited and represent DaC at such a prestigious and worthwhile event. I’m not sure how much was raised this year, as I believe that some contributions are still forthcoming, but I know that at last year’s event JPMorgan raised £25k for their nominated charity and I am

hopeful that the figure will be exceeded this year. I am also very pleased that I was able to represent the licensed taxi industry at such a prestigious event, it was an excellent day, the sun was shining and a lot of goodwill was created by JPMorgan towards those that are less fortunate than ourselves.  I would like to particularly thank Patti Wallis and Giles Moore-Martin from JPM for organising such a splendid day.”
