Call Sign has received information from a reliable source that tells of a Private Hire-organised meeting involving many of the managers from the top PH companies. The agenda consisted of just one topic – Was Dial-a-Cab Chairman Brian Rice trying to take control of their industry?
   Call Sign thought at first that the tip-off was a joke, but further information suggests that many of the big guns in the PH field are concerned that any of the top companies not involved with Concierge are going to have an uphill battle to keep their position within the market.
   Following initial fears by some drivers, Concierge has now brought a huge amount of extra work to Dial-a-Cab drivers and part of the agreement is that the company using our new trip distribution engine pick the PH companies that they wish to use (mostly with a two-hour lead-time as against the usual 10 – 15 minutes on the Taxi side) and order them via DaC.
   The bank currently using Concierge has four PH companies included and that is where the apparent problem lay.
