With the recent World Shooting Championships in San Antonio, Texas, bringing Dial-a-Cab Call Taker Donna Merry's season to a close, she spoke to Call Sign about her views on last season and her hopes for the next.
   "Although I was delighted with my medal haul in Texas (one Silver, two Bronzes and a Plaque for winning her class), I thought that I could have done better. I certainly could have improved my performances in the 'Home' Championships. I got Silver in the British Open, came runner- up in the Scottish and won the Lak-Ler British 

Championship, but I didn't do anywhere as well as 1999 when I got a clean sweep, winning every championship that I entered! That was a magical year and I have to believe that I can do it again in addition to the European Open, or there would be no point in shooting."
   So what went wrong?
   "I don't like making excuses because everyone can have an excuse for an off-day, but I found out at the end of the season that because I had lost such a lot of weight through dieting, my gun was no longer balanced correctly. It had been specially made for me as I was and with such a difference in my weight, the balancing was out enough to make a difference.
   "Now the problem has been sorted out and I hope that my performances will be much better next season. I also hope to go back to Texas next year and to have a much better chance of grabbing a Gold medal.
   "I'd like to thank Dial-a-Cab for their generous sponsorship and for the supply of logo'd shirts that I wear during competition. Even San Antonio, Texas now know who Dial-a-Cab of London are!"
