The mystery of the photo and accompanying text from the last issue may have been almost solved. We know who the driver is, but have been told that he doesn't want his name and call sign revealed.

What a Bummer -
The Final Half...!
"It was hardly a job to be proud of," a friend of the driver told Call Sign, "and he was as astonished to see his passenger as his facial expression describes. It was rather apt that the photo in Call Sign was at the bottom of the page!"
It was also made clear to Call Sign that the photo wasn't - if you'll excuse the expression - touched up in any way!
The gentleman with the exposed buttock area and described by some hacks as a 'low-down bum', had apparently just come from Court where he
had famously won the right to walk around in the nude! Who said only the Yanks have 'em!
A respectably dressed lady had hailed a Dial-a-Cab taxi outside the Court and asked the driver to wait. Then she came out and jumped into the cab followed by the male nude and a bevy of photographers who had obviously been warned about what was to happen.
If any Call sign readers have photos of any aspect of DaC that might raise a smile, please let us have them - but not the view from the other side of the accompanying pic...!

MESSAGES YOU MAY HAVE MISSED...
Credit Card Trips
To assist with the administration and prompt payment of Credit Card trips, the following enhancement has been made to the system. When clearing a Credit Card trip on the old terminal (not a Debit Card, which does not carry a handling charge) you should now clear the metered amount including the handling charge of 10% (£1 minimum) as filled in on the Credit Card voucher.
For example: If your meter fare is £12.40, the handling charge would be £1.24, then your CLJ should be cleared for £13.64 as written on the voucher. The system will automatically calculate what you have added and adjust accordingly. This will mean the manual checking of each voucher, currently undertaken by Driver Services will no longer be required and correct payment will be made, so long as the right amount is cleared.
With new terminals, the CLJ can still be sent as normal by entering the meter fare and printing the credit card voucher to send the CLJ. The handling charge will be added automatically. However, if the fare is less than £10.00 you must
change the handling charge to £1.00 yourself ie if the fare was £8, the handling charge would show 80p and this would then be manually changed to the £1 minimum.

Street Number on Trip Offers
The recently added facility of displaying street number on Credit Trip offers has had to be modified slightly. Where the street number was displayed on the same 1ine as the street name, the map facility on the new terminals was not working correctly. Therefore, the street number will now only display if there are no attributes assigned to that trip and will be displayed below the street name.

Badge Number Changes
The current computer system has been unable to cope with badge number changes and as a result, new software amendments have been commissioned. In order to ensure that no changes have been missed, please re-notify Driver Services of any alterations so that it can be ensured that all changes will be effected correctly.
