CABOT SQUARE RANK (E14C)
There are still some drivers who are booking in incorrectly on
this rank and although the majority of you are now fully aware of the
procedures, I would like to remind you of one or two points that are still
causing problems.
The rank is physical and you must only book onto it when you are
on the south side of Cabot Square with your 'for hire' sign turned on. You must
not book in this rank when approaching from the north side of the road (South
Colonnade). Radio signals are not as good as they could be in this area, so if
you find that your queue position is lower than the Dial-a-Cab driver ahead of
you in the rank, please remember that we are the 'Gentleman's Circuit' and this
may be due to the aforementioned problem. Please act in the correct manner...
At the strict request of Morgan Stanley, all drivers must request a 'No
Show' through their terminal 15 minutes after arrival. The client will not pay
for excessive waiting time and failure to follow these procedures could result
in non-payments to the drivers in question. This has now become a very
important issue with Morgan Stanley.
GOLDMAN SACHS PROCEDURE
Although Marshals are usually present to assist at
the GS rank in Shoe Lane, EC4, between 1800 and midnight, it may be useful to
keep a note of the procedures involved when accepting a trip...
You are allowed a maximum run-in of £4.20 on arrival at
Peterborough Court...
On arrival...
New Terminal: Press 'Arrival' ... 'On Board' ... AD Dest. EC4 ... then
restart timer.
Old Terminal: Press Form 0...21 followed by 'POB'...
Passenger approaches:
New / Old Terms: Stop meter / clear amount, for which you will be paid and
restart meter...
New Term: Swipe passenger's card (yellow dots facing
upwards)... Ask pass for pin number and enter into field. Enter pick-up zone
(EC4) and 'Send'... When authorised, press 'On Board'.
Old Term: Swipe passenger's card (yellow dots facing inwards) ...
Confirm pass pin number (last four digits). Enter pick-up zone (EC4) and
'Send'... When authorised, press 'POB'.
New Term: Press Gen Code ... Gen Code ... 08. In
'Optional Data' enter one of either C1, C2, C3 or S. The passenger will give
you this information. Then 'Send'.
Old Term: Ask passenger if trip is C1, C2 C3 or S ... Push FORM - 0 - 08
and the code given by the passenger (eg FORM - 0 - 08 - C3) ... Push 'Send'.
New Term: Enter destination in usual way ie SW7 -
Press A/D Dest followed by SW7.
Old Term: Enter destination in usual way ie SW7 - Press FORM - 0 - 07 -
SW7 - 'Send'.
The trip is now a normal Charge Card journey and you can
'soon to clear' as usual.
