SYSTEM 21

As you are all aware, the New Admin system has been in operation since the middle of January and, as with all new systems, we are experiencing some teething problems which we are doing our best to sort out. The majority of you have been very understanding and patient with us, for which Nuala and myself thank you. I have to say that it still amazes me that a minority of drivers seem to think that we are intentionally singling them out and deliberately withholding payments on jobs and purposely holding back their cheques or BACS payments; this is not the case.
   For instance, we recently had a problem with the BACS transfer which had been processed in the normal way, but unfortunately the transfer was not accepted due to a modem failure. As soon as we realised the error, we did our best to rectify the situation as quickly as possible and we

hope that it will NOT happen again. So hopefully I will NOT hear that famous saying again: "I’m not having a go at you luv, but.............."

CREDIT CARDS

It would appear that some drivers are still experiencing difficulty with credit card procedure, so to help you, which in turn will help us, here are a few helpful hints:
1/ All credit cards must be put through the data system as failure to do so will result in payments being delayed or possible non-payment.
2/ Any credit card trips estimated as going over £50 must be authorised by the control

 

room on voice. We will not accept jobs that have been swiped twice as this is not correct radio procedure and could also mean the card may be stolen or on stop service.
3/ Always complete three credit card vouchers; one for the office, another for the customer with the third to be retained by yourself. No voucher - no payment.
4/ Please write clearly with all relevant info ie. card number, pick up, destination, fare plus 10% and most important of all, your call sign and badge number.

ROLLERBONDS

The correct procedure for obtaining your Rollerbond is as follows:
   Once your Rollerbond has matured, requests must be in the office by Wednesday and will be paid out on the following Monday. Rollerbond request forms are available from the Drivers Reception 24hrs a day. Unfortunately, we are unable to complete Rollerbond Request Forms over the phone as we require the your signature.
