DAC DRIVER IN LOCAL ELECTION VICTORY

Congratulations deservedly go to Dial-a-Cab driver Brian Son (F38) who successfully took a seat for Labour in the East India ward of Tower Hamlets at the recent London Council elections.
Amazingly, this was Brian’s first attempt at standing, although he tells Call Sign that he has been interested in politics since he was a child and was already heavily involved in various committees. He now joins another towerham.jpg (27074 bytes)London cab driver (Mark Taylor) on the Tower Hamlets Council and representation at that level can only benefit the cab trade.
Well done from all at DAC and Call Sign…

PRESSMAN’S ODD ODES

FINDERS KEEPERS
(from the back of the cab)

It used to be umbrellas, I’ve found one or two,
A scarf, some gloves, a hanky and even a camera too.
An empty can of coke, a purse with twenty pee,
A pigskin wallet, a pack of cards, to hand it in’s so twee.
But lately it has been mobile phones we’re finding on the seat,
These little compact miracles, I think they're rather neat,
But one thing really baffles me, to this I must confess
When the wretched thing starts ringing...
Which button do you press?

BOSOM FRIENDS
(A cabman’s view of a topless beach)

Pushed up, pulled in, spread across the chest,
The female anatomy’s the one that I like best!
Pouting, pointing, some strapped tight
Seeing every shade - from mahogany to white.
Nipples firm and brown and circled with rings,
Some pink tipped, just like blown up water wings!
Topless, strapless, bra-less too
Covered with costumes, of every size and hue
Lying back, try to relax and just enjoy the sight,
What a rotten shame that I'm going home tomorrow night!

ARE THE MANGEMENT BORED?

David Brown (B13 J) had been in the Middlesex Hospital recovering from a triple by-pass operation and is now recovering at home. Prior to this, David had experienced a catalogue of health problems which left him feeling very down. He needed something to cheer him up, so trust the DAC Board of Management to come to his help - even if they didn’t even know they had done it!!
As soon as the DAC Welfare Department heard of David’s plight, they telephoned the local florist to send a nice potted plant via InterFlora. A brief message was given over the phone to accompany the plant and off it went.
At the moment of the plant’s arrival, David heard that he would have to stay in hospital for a further few days and felt rather despondent yet again. Receiving the plant cheered him up a bit, just knowing that someone was thinking of him. But the biggest grin anyone had seen on David Brown’s face for many months arrived when he read the accompanying card. Written by the lady in the florist shop, it said:
Thinking of you, On behalf of the Bored of Management and Staff at Dial a Cab…
If it cheered you up, David, then even the BoM don’t mind being called ‘boring’. Hope you are feeling much better…
