Our four lads have launched an appeal fund to coincide with the event and sincerely hope to reach their target of £6715, which will provide an Infant Warmer for the Whittington Hospital before they leave for the marathon.
Paul Bishop (R64), John Dixon (B67), Phil Stern (B98J) and Bob Woodford (P49) have already started collecting small change from cab drivers ranking at stations and at the airport to realise a total so far of £2853.
"A great start, but we are about £4000 short of that all important target" explained Paul at a recent meeting with Call Sign Editor Alan Fisher "and this is where we are hoping our fellow Dial-a-Cab drivers can give us a boost!
Basically, the team need small donations from you and Paul has come up with the idea of
"If everyone of our subscribers were to buy an enamelled badge, we would realise our target in no time at all - in fact we would have enough to buy 2 infant warmers!" said Paul.

"Send us a fiver today, so we can buy an incubator tomorrow" adds Bob, "in fact we cheekily asked the Chairman if we could ask our drivers to donate dockets, but for obvious reasons, he had to turn us down. Brian explained that he would be inundated with requests for docket donations if he were to allow it! But we thank Brian anyway for his support for our Appeal Fund and wish him a speedy recovery from his illness."
