Hello Ladies and Gents,

It was good to see some old and new faces at the AGM; the year has passed by so quickly! We are now almost quarter of the way through 2006 and the job figures so far, as I am sure you will all agree, are extremely encouraging.
Even on the Marshalling front, there have been a number of events in January and February which all bodes very well for the year ahead. We have had many complimentary emails and correspondence regarding the Christmas events which praised the circuit for its’ professionalism and again, that is very pleasing. But without your assistance, it would not work, so well done to all those who support Dial-a-Cab’s marshalled events.

House of Commons and Goldman Sachs
As you know, there are Marshals at both the House of Commons and Goldman Sachs locations each weekday.

House of Commons
Can I please ask you that as an addition to your trip remarks, you also notify the Marshal at the HOC on arrival so that he or she

can make a note of that arrival and also the taxi details and location. When there are several taxis parked at the same pick-up areas, it helps the Marshal to have the correct information at hand in order to pass onto the relevant passenger if there is a query on any particular trip.

Goldman Sachs
This is a shared account at a very busy location and there is no reason to feel that Dial-a-Cab cannot get its true quota of trips from the rank in Shoe Lane. You have every right to use this rank, especially when Marshals notify you via the terminal that queues of people are waiting for taxis. The more DaC taxis that go to the rank, the more work we will get. There are many nice trips from this location - please give it a try, our Marshal is there to assist you
   Can I also remind you that if you receive a G/S trip from EC5, please firstly clear the actual fare on the meter (no minimum) when the client approaches you from the rank. Their card is then swiped through the terminal in the normal manner as the second part of the trip and cleared in the usual way. If you have any queries, please ask the Marshal for advice.
