Hello there…
Well, they say it’s the season to be jolly and I’m delighted to report that we have many reasons to celebrate. Primarily that we have continued to forge ahead in winning tenders and accounts from our competitors - both licensed taxi and private hire alike
At this time, when we have found ourselves under the cosh from a variety of reasons - be it bad weather, Northern Line underground problems, Limehouse Link closures or even religious holidays - we must still ensure that we continue to operate to the highest standards even under those pressures. Having said that, our team come into their own under what we have come to know and call crisis management!
The recent incentives that have been put into place by the Board for both drivers and staff have meant there is an air of added optimism and motivation during this busy period at DaC. Has

Christmas come early with a TXII up for grabs, I hear you cry?
Well, the gauntlet has been well and truly laid down and may the best driver win. This is a lovely opportunity to support our account work both on the road and at Call Centre level. We are continuing to raise the standard throughout the company and these incentives help us to focus on the job in hand. They will help to build camaraderie amongst the team as well as recognition.
Our service is superior to that of our competitors, however, we must remember that we are in a very competitive market place and cannot afford to become complacent, I would therefore  ask for your wholehearted support for all our accounts during what is going to be a very busy period.
Rest assured, I have some very exiting news for the New Year and all will be revealed in due course. Suffice to say there will continue to be superb account work throughout the year.  With a busy time upon us, it is important to remember that we have to focus on ensuring our house accounts are really taken care of.
Having in-house resources, such as owning our own software and having the finest IT personnel, gives us such a massive advantage and I would like to thank
everyone for  their efforts in making such smoothe transitions for the various projects we have in place. I would like to make sure that this does not go unnoticed.
I would also like to recognise Annita Young, who has been a valued member of my team over the past year and a half. Annita has been promoted internally and we would like to wish her the very best of luck in her new role. She has many years of Credit Control experience behind her and is a great asset for the Account Management team.
Thank you to those drivers who have recommended new drivers to us. We are in the enviable position of growing the fleet, so do let us know if you have someone you would like us to know about. Also a big thank you for the account leads as well…
I would like to wish you all a very peaceful and happy Christmas time and also the very best of luck in winning those fabulous prizes. I will thank you in advance for your help in ensuring we have a record yuletide..

See you out and about very soon…
Until next time...

E140 RANK UP AND RUNNING

The new additional Docklands ranking system known as E140 is now in operation at Canary Wharf. It will operate from 9pm until 6am and replaces E14C for account work.
During the hours of 6am and 9pm, all work will be allocated to either E14C or E14S
depending on the location of the account. All the work will default from one rank to the other if there are no taxis on one particular rank or if the trips are rejected from the rank in question.
If the trip(s) are still uncovered, they will then be offered to the relevant back up zones and appear in the Bids just as they are at present.
E140 is a physical rank – which means that you must be on it to book in - and only genuine account work (including asap, pre-booked and fixed price trips) will be offered to drivers who are booked into this zone. If uncovered, these trips will be offered to E14 before going into the Bids if they remain uncovered. Apart from genuine AD trips and accounts that dictate an A/D destination on their trip offers, all other trips will be unmasked. If you have your Code 3 (Going Home Facility) activated, you will not be offered trips from the rank, but you will be able to Bid for them.
Although E14S will be disabled, E14C will still remain in operation during this period for cash trips, credit card journeys and layouts. This will remain a working rank and normal rules will apply.
If you see some trips appearing on E14S during the disabled period, please ignore them as they will be the relevant trips offered on E14C.
The new rank (E140) will be located in Bank Street adjacent to the Clifford Chance Building. A Dial-a-Cab Marshal will be in attendance for the initial period and procedures may be changed at short notice to ensure that the rank operates fairly and efficiently. This rank will be set up for the maximum number of taxis that can be accommodated.
