Square to an audience that may never have sampled their
wares before. Dial-a-Cab were there expertly representing the cab trade alongside a stand from PCO / TfL. Both did a roaring trade in giveaways! Several Board members and staff were on hand answering questions from the public, who in turn were given the chance of winning a colour television. What made the two-day festival even more special was that they were totally free of charge – even |

brochures and bottles of water to help keep out the heat! On the Dial-a-Cab stand, DaC Board member Mike Son told Call Sign: “We were just stunned by the huge crowds at the West End Live festival. It was just wonderful and I couldn’t even hazard a guess as to how many freebies we dished out! Even that was outdone when the winner of a competition we ran for a colour TV was won by a lovely 12-year old boy in a wheelchair. Yes, a great day indeed…” |
