Printers with Meters
It has been well publicised that as of 1 January 2005, all Licensed London taxis will need to provide a printed receipt that is linked to the meter. The DaC Board have been in contact with the PCO and our terminal suppliers and we are now awaiting confirmation from the PCO that the software changes we have implemented and the reprogramming of our equipment will allow our members to use the built-in printer on the terminal. extras and will operate without the need to be signed onto the terminal so long as the system is powered up at all times. This will prevent the need to purchase or hire any supplementary printers, which will save you additional expense.

Work on the Marshalling front since September has been consistently busy, with many corporate events taking place. It goes without saying

And Credit Cards Again…
Finally, I know you will have already been told in this issue, but it is so important. Please can I ask you to verify the signatures on credit cards against the name on the card when you carry out this type of trip. With these types of journeys steadily increasing, there have recently been a number of fraudulent transactions that have resulted in either a short fall in payment or at worst, no payment at all to both the Society and the member.
