It’s getting closer – the event England’s shooters value more than
anything else next to the World Championships – The Dial-a-Cab
European Open Skeet Shooting Championships. The event takes place on
July 25 at the Lakenheath Rod and Gun Country Club in Suffolk. Call Sign
has been sponsoring DaC’s blonde bombshell Donna Merry and the
Championships themselves for several years, including the year Donna and
her Mirkou MK30 shotgun took the title, winning the event in a shoot-off
with Matt Usher. John Wells (K68) came in a close fifth on that
occasion.

European shooting event that puts men
and women up against each other with a male v female shoot-off at the
end to decide the ultimate champion.
With Donna now aged 24 and studying for an IT degree at University,
she isn’t getting as much practice as she would like.
"But I really want to win this event," Donna told us, "so
don’t count me out."
Meanwhile, John Wells is currently taking in all the shooting events
he can, including all the Majors leading up to the DaC Euro.
"I’m really up for this event," he told Call Sign. "I’m
getting better by the week and my aim is to peak around the DaC Euro
time and take that impetus to Texas in October for the World
Championships. I just hope that I don’t have to meet Donna in |
