Regardless of Chelsea’s 3 –
1 defeat at Monaco in the European Champions League semi-final first leg,
the quarter finals of that competition produced some sensational second leg
results. Chelsea beat Arsenal at Highbury and that fairly non-descript
French team - more famous for its casino than soccer team - knocked out the
mighty Real Madrid after giving them a two goal start. But without doubt, the most incredible night in Champions League history came when unfancied Spanish team Deportivo La Corũna produced the most amazing second leg comeback in Champions League history by defeating and absolutely humiliating the holders of the cup, AC Milan, by 4 goals to nil having been 4 – 1 down following the first leg! No team in the competition’s history had ever pulled back a three-goal deficit before. While Depertivo’s Riazor Stadium in the northwest Basque area of Spain and the team’s 29,000 supporters |

raised the
roof in celebration, back at Dial-a-Cab, Spanish call taker Angela Dominguez
whose mother Carmen and sister Monica live in La Corũna, had shot home
during her evening shift lunch break to watch part of the home team’s
match. By the time she had to return (she lives very close to the office)
Deportivo had clawed back two goals. "I never used to like football," Angela told Call Sign, "but over the past few years I’ve started to take an interest and follow Deportivo and boy |
was I
excited when I got back to the office and heard that they’d pulled back a
third!" Returning to her full name for the evening in honour of her team, Maria de Los Angeles Dominguez now says she is a fully committed Deportivo supporter. "Mind you," she said, "thankfully every match isn’t like that or I’d end up losing my voice and that’s not much use for a DaC call taker!" * Deportivo drew 0 – 0 in their first semi final against Portuguese giants Porto… |

Two Friends Start with Web Hosting Business |
|
Daniel
Smith and Chad Gomez have been working in the DaC Call Centre for four and
seven years respectively but have been friends for almost ten. Five months
ago the two of them, together with another long-term friend, decided to
start up a company together, something they had long spoken about doing
but had never quite got round to – but now they finally have. They came up with several ideas - from building PCs to creating an actor’s website for exposure – Chad’s idea as a budding actor - but eventually came up with the idea of website hosting for individuals and companies. So what is website hosting and why would anyone need it? We asked Chad to explain: "The Internet is a global network of computers running many different types of services such as e-mail and various websites. Every website is stored on a web server, also known as a web host and are connected to the Internet by permanent, high-speed connections. Once a website has been designed and built (a service we also offer), it needs a web server to host the site. This enables the site to be permanently connected to the Internet |
