Hello Ladies and Gents,
Well, one Blockade down with at least one more in
August to come. The nine-day (WCT) block was successfully completed and
although it wasn’t quite as busy as we all expected, it gave many of you
the chance to work as far north as Coventry and Birmingham on more than one
occasion.
The operation went totally according to
plan from our point of view with all of you being very professional and on
your best behaviour, especially in the Hotels that we were allocated and the
senior staff at West Coast Trains has noted this. Considering the logistics
of the whole period in question, DaC Marshals and Call Centre staff
again worked tremendously hard to ensure that the operation not only ran
smoothly, but was again also a total success. Apart from a couple |

of small points that were mentioned in the de-brief
meetings, you can all be very proud of the operation – so well done!
Can I please once again underline that we
are working to strict guidelines at all stations and the dress code that we
have asked you all to follow is being monitored. Please don’t wear shorts
or Joggers.
We are now into the mid- summer period and the
Marshalled events that we have either covered or are in the diary have so
far increased significantly this year. There are a number of large and one
very interesting events scheduled to take place very soon and, as usual,
your very best support will be needed.

always first class.
Battersea Park is ongoing
throughout the summer and many of our valued clients have certainly
requested our services on a more regular

basis so far this year.
All Borough Taxi-Cards
Please note that you are now authorised to pick up
all other street card pick-ups in addition to the Westminster Taxi Cards.
Since the last upgrade the authorisation procedure has been simplified and
the total fares for these trips are automatically calculated when you swipe
the Borough Cards.
Credit Card Trips
Can I also remind you that if you are unable to clear a
trip through the terminal it is important that you obtain a signature on a
manual invoice. An authorisation number can be recalled on a credit card
trip by pressing Gen Code, then the more button (Red) and then press send
Auth. (This will allow you to press the on Board button and complete the
trip cycle –if you have been out of range)
