EBay Takes Over the World!
They say all good things come an end and that saying now applies to my favourite site for buying computer hardware: http://www.auctions.compaq.co.uk . My last four PCs were purchased at this site at great low cost prices, but now that they have partnered with eBay, the
prices have rocketed and I'm gutted!
   I had recommended this Compaq site regularly in Computer Chinchat and although it was a popular site, it wasn't that popular so you could still bid for items and get them at great prices - sometimes up to 30% cheaper. Now they reach a much greater audience in eBay and I can't believe what they're bidding - in some cases you can buy new items cheaper! The new Compaq/eBay URL is now: http://www.hp.com/auctions . EBay has been such a success that not only has Compaq partnered with them, another large auction site has partnered with them too, FreeServe: http://www.freeserve.com/auctions/ A quick search on Google.co.uk for online auction sites will show just how popular eBay is… just phenomenal!

Online DIY… And Darts???
I'd guess like most people, I'm always interested in bargains and I'd also guess that like a lot of

we cab drivers, I do quite a bit
of DIY at home. When a DIY job goes wrong at home, I always blame the tools – at least so my Mrs says! Now I've got no excuse because located at http://www.toolstation.com is a superb selection of power tools and accessories at great prices for the novice, advanced DIY-er or professional builder.
Darts appears to be making resurgence of late and like many other sports, there are online versions. The best online version I've seen is located at: http://www.first2zero.com . It's another addictive site where you can play against the computer, someone else on the same
computer or against someone else over the Internet. OK, it's not on a par with the 3D games like Medal of Honour or HalfLife, but it's a game I can play that my kids can’t thrash me at! Come and challenge me to online darts…!
