CHANNEL FIVE TELEVISION ASKS DAC DRIVERS… |
JERY CRAIG IN
POLICE CUSTARDY! |
Would you ever try an aphrodisiac?
Channel Five TV is making a documentary programme about the science
of aphrodisiacs and whether they really work. They are looking for
couples to take part in the programme who would be willing to talk
about their sex lives on camera and try out a handful of the world’s
most intriguing aphrodisiacs (behind closed doors!), then report
back on what effect they had - if any! ~
They would like the couples to have a good reason for trying out
these passion boosters. You might be struggling to find the time and
energy for sex in between looking after the kids or you and your
partner might have very different sex drives and would like to
experiment in bringing them up to the same level. Maybe there’s a
big age difference between you and your partner and you’re looking
for an aphrodisiac that will help you keep up with him or her.
If you’d like to find out more about taking part in this
documentary with no obligation, call the production company,
Angel Eye Films. You can speak to Libby on 0207 287 9360
or leave a message 24 hours a day. You can also email her at

Apple Temptation - the original aphrodisiac. |
The Taxi
trade’s most famous cartoonist and former Editor of Call Sign, Jery
Craig, was recently spotted at a west London eatery frequented by
Taxi drivers – standing between a long line of British Transport
police personnel! It appeared to the untrained eye that with so many
of the constabulary surrounding him, Jery had been arrested…
"Did I hear you say that you were taking Jery into custody,"
enquired a concerned Dial-a-Cab driver who had recognised Jery from
his monthly column photo, "what’s he done?"
"No," replied the slightly taken-aback PC Devarasan, "you
misheard me, I was asking Mr Craig if he knew whether the Royal Oak
served custard!"
Jery and PC Devarasan laughed off the incident, however, Call

Jery handcuffed to PC Devarasan!.
Royal Oak snitch - the mysterious "one-eye" - told us to
look in between the twosome. Jery is
handcuffed to the smiling PC! Fortunately, once he had tasted the
Royal Oak’s custard, he released Jery from his "custardy" in time to
draw his next Call Sign cartoon…! |
DONNA SENDS OUT A WARNING! |
"I’m Coming Out of Retirement to Win!"

In the last issue of Call Sign,
we asked whether DaC call taker and former World Champion shooting
star Donna Merry would come out of her self imposed exile from
shooting for a crack at the Dial-a-Cab European Skeet-Shooting
Championships on July 25 at Lakenheath. Call Sign has been
sponsoring DaC’s blonde bombshell and her Mirkou MK30 shotgun since
June 2001 and during that period, Donna made herself the UK’s number
one lady shooter, having won all the home countries championships,
several World titles and captained her country.
Now aged 24, Donna is also at University taking an IT degree course
that interfered with her shooting, so it had to go – at least until
July 25 at the Lakenheath Rod and Gun Country Club.
"It’s true that I’m out of practice," Donna told us, "but
the DaC Euro is second only to the World Championships. It’s an
event I really want to win. I may do a few smaller shoots just
before to get in some practise, but regardless of that, I’m still
going to be an outsider. But I’ll be giving everything to become DaC
European Champion."
Any DaC drivers who’d like to come along with their families to
cheer on Donna and DaC’s other shooter, John Wells (K68) will be
made welcome. The club is close to the US airbase at Lakenheath. No
tickets are required… |
