"...AND HERE'S MY BADGE!"
DaC Call Taker Jos Pearce Finally Gets the Knowledge!
The July issue of Call Sign told how exc ited
DaC call taker Jos Pearce was at being on the verge of passing her
Knowledge. She just had her suburbs and 'drive' to do to become the
owner of that coveted green badge. But it wasn't that simple... After
five long years on the KoL, Jos could be forgiven for believing that the
hard work had gone - especially when she did her suburbs without too
many problems.
She failed her first drive because she was so nervous, then the second
when she parked in front of someone's driveway! Then she failed for a
third time before finally clinching it at the fourth attempt! "It all
helps to make me realise how special this badge is," said Jos,
"getting it was really difficult and that's how it should be. Now
excuse me, I've got a living to earn...!"
Well done, Jos. |

DAC'S JOANNA GETS HER DEGREE

Looking stunning, Joanna gets her degree
The last time Dial-a-Cab Call Taker Joanna Clegg made Call Sign was
in October 2001, when she left Brunswick Place to live in Spain for a
year as part of her Spanish degree course. She said she wanted to return
and she did - fluent in Spanish and also well on the way to a degree in
drama and theatre studies.
Of her four-year course at the University of Surrey, 22 year-old Joanna
told Call Sign that it was hard but always enjoyable. But that hard work
paid off in July when in the beautiful surroundings of Guildford
Cathedral, Joanna received the fruits of her four year labour of love -
a BA (Hons) in Spanish and Drama / theatre studies. Congratulations
Joanna.... |
