For the second
consecutive year, Dial-a-Cab had a stand inside the Olympia Exhibition Hall
together with a high profile presence outside the venue by way of a taxi
rank with a DaC Marshal to serve visitors attending the Business Travel
Show, which took place between 4 - 6 February.
Every aspect of business travel was represented at this
prestigious venue, from airlines, hotels and travel agents to shipping
companies and of course, taxis!
The DaC stand enjoyed a constant stream of visitors who
enquired about our services and marvelled at our advanced technology -
something they obviously were not expecting. These included our internet
online booking capability, which allows the client to use their 'laptop' to
pre-book their taxi from anywhere in the UK or across the world and to know
that we will meet them on arrival at their chosen pick-up point. Also
highlighted were our customer information systems and tailored billing
facilities, which are designed to suit individual client's requirements.
On hand were members of our Sales and Customer Services teams,
ready to demonstrate what we do and to offer a smiling, friendly face to
existing and potential account clients. Sales Manager Lydia Foulkes told
Call Sign that she was delighted with the response our stand received and
the number of important leads that were generated from our contact with
businessmen and women from both home and abroad.
David Chapple, the Group Exhibition Manager for Olympia, told Call Sign:
"I am delighted with Dial-a-Cab's marshalling and
ranking which helped visitors enormously to their onward destinations with
the minimum of fuss. These are busy people and the availability of taxis
right outside the door is good for us here at Olympia and is welcomed by our
guests who know they are getting a first

The end of another successful
show. From left to right, Sandra, Pam, and Natalie can relax at last

accept credit cards is another plus and was often acknowledged by our
visitors. We had feedback from across the world, almost all positive,"
he beamed!
Mike Son, the Board member responsible for Special Projects and
the person who set up our presence at Olympia was equally delighted with the
response from visitors to our stand.
"The support from our drivers in transporting the
public to and from the event with the minimum of fuss has been excellent and
I'd like to thank them all. They were great ambassadors for us."
Mike went on to add: "We put a lot of work into making
this a success and it looks like it has paid off handsomely."
