MP5 Software Release 3.3.9 was successfully pilot-tested in June and the
fleet upgrade will soon be underway. Some enhancements to the mobile
software require that ALL mobiles must be upgraded before the enhancements
take effect. Completion of the fleet upgrade is projected for late
September. |

Another enhancement will see the bid trip form revamped to provide zone selection by button rather than typing in a zone name. |
A second page of general code buttons has been added to simplify
communications with the Call Centre by no longer requiring you to know and then
type in the general code number. The new buttons are: <Pass Gone>, <FP Excess>,
<Xtra Run In>, <Breakdown>, <Long Wait>, <Add VHT> and <Send Auth>. All of the buttons, except for <Send Auth> previously functioned by typing in the general code numbers. <Send Auth> should be used when debit/credit card authorisation has not been received within a reasonable amount of time. The <Send Auth> button requests the card authorisation be sent to you again, thus preventing a lock-up in the "awaiting authorisation" state. When the trip details include extra remarks, the system will present a <PAGE 2> button to force viewing of the remarks before <Arrival> or <POB> are allowed. This button only appears when extra remarks exist. When possible, extra remarks will now be included in <Page 1> of the trip details. The response to <Long Wait> will be a comprehensive message that includes how long to continue waiting. That's it for now, have a nice day and enjoy the ride...! Tom and Debbie Carter |
