Hello Ladies and Gents...
The predictably quiet Easter holiday period has now passed and from
daily information supplied from the Call Centre, trip figures are now
increasing. As you know, we at Dial a Cab are now joint suppliers with ComCab
for The J.P.Morgan account. This is a very large and lucrative account and we
are already supplying an encouraging number of taxis at all of the account
pickup locations. Another 2500 special charge cards are about to be issued to
members of the J.P.Morgan staff which will I am sure greatly increase our
proportion of this account over the coming weeks. Information sheets, which
fully explain the procedures to follow for this account, are available at
Brunswick House. A guide is also printed below...
The Goldman Sachs 'Rolling Rank' at Shoe lane is now in operation between
the hours of 9pm and midnight, Monday to Friday.
There is a slight concern from some members that one of our
most prestigious accounts is now using or have decided to use an alternative
supplier for their taxi transport. Trip figures for this account have not
decreased; in fact to the contrary, there is a slight increase in usage from
the one department in question. Figures are being monitored, but at this moment
in time there is certainly no cause for concern. As with all accounts, they are
constantly monitored but it is important as you already know, to give this as
well as every account client, our normal high levels of service at all times.

schedule and most of you will now be fully updated. If you had not had this
work carried out before 20th April, your terminal would cease to have
functioned without the enhancement.
Credit card trips are steadily increasing and it is now
important to check that all details are correct, especially the expiry date on
the card, because invalid information will result in payments from the clearing
banks being rejected, which in turn may lead to problems with driver payments.
At the request of many of the evening and night drivers, there will be a
driver trainer available at Brunswick House to run through credit and charge
card procedures on various evenings. I will send terminal messages out prior to
the times that the trainers are on site, which I hope will assist you all and
fit in a little easier with your work patterns. For those of you who work
during the daytime, a trainer will be at Roman Way every Wednesday afternoon
between 14.00hrs and 17.00hrs. It is a surprisingly simple process to follow
and one which can provide you all with additional income.
On a final note, there have been one or two concerns with
drivers unable to start their taxis due to
|
flat batteries that they feel may have been caused by the new terminal or
the battery back-up in their vehicles. This relates mainly to TXII taxis
that are apparently now supplied with a battery of less amp's than the TXI's.
After speaking to LTI, we have been advised to wire the 'touch screen'
terminals through the reversing light fuse which is directly linked into the
ignition switch and which when turned off, will prevent any current loss if
your vehicle is left inactive for any length of time. This method of wiring
is already being used on TXI's and has cured the problem.
If you have a queries on any of the above, please ring me on 0207 251
