No sooner had we said 'goodbye' to our Westminster guests (featured in last month's Call Sign), than it was Chairman Brian Rice's turn to welcome visitors from Transport for London, and to show them around Brunswick House.
   First stop was the Call Centre - the nerve centre of the Society - where our advanced technology was proudly displayed.
   Downstairs in the IT department, Brian gave the guests a demonstration of our in-cab computers, ably assisted by Theresa Whitfield whose delightfully manicured fingers fluttered deftly across the model terminal screen highlighting the facilities available to drivers while Brian gave the verbal explanations as to how and why.
   Then it was down to the Training Room, where the Chairman

explained about our on-going training programs for Drivers and Staff alike, stressing the importance of professionalism by everyone connected with Dial-a-Cab and the efforts made to raise the standards and hence the profile, not just of DaC, but of our industry in general.
   The TfL guests left with an insight into what makes us tick and favourably impressed with our technology.
Holiday Season
