Call
Sign Presentation to Trevor Clarke |
Saying goodbye to Allen Togwell from all the Editorial staff and its readers. |
|
If you read the last issue of
Call Sign, you could hardly have failed to notice that Trevor Clarke was
leaving the employ of Dial-a-Cab as of Tuesday April 24th. Since we revealed that Trevor was departing, many drivers have popped in to bid him a happy retirement as well as staff members - many of whom have been with the Society almost as long as Trevor. Call Sign also wanted to say thank you for all the assistance that Trevor had given both the current Editor and his predecessor Jery |
Trevor and his replacement, Warren Smith Craig over the year. There is little that Trevor doesn't know about any
era of this Society's history - he is an expert on them all. |

Spying on Dial-a-Cab | ||
Thoughts of the
taxi cold war returned to the forefront last week when a spy plane was
intercepted within the Brunswick House airspace and found to be taking
'spy-in-the-sky' photos of the area. The pilot refused any details other
than to give what appeared to be his name and number - Geofelkillme
2860286. Michael Galvin, a spokesperson for Computer Cab, told Call Sign's reporter that "...our company are peace-loving and to suggest otherwise is a blatant act of war which would be fully reciprocated." When asked why they were taking spy photos of Brunswick House, Mr Galvin denied the accusation saying that they believed a pub in the area were watering down the whisky and that it was their duty to check. Call Sign accepted this as a reasonable excuse and peace has been returned! Meanwhile, can you spot Brunswick House in the spy-pic? |
