Not
One ...Not Two ... BUT THREE 'ROVER 25' CARS UP FOR GRABS IN THIS BIGGEST
DIAL-A-CAB GIVE-AWAY OF ALL TIME...!
November and December will almost certainly be the busiest months
that we have ever known and it is so imperative that we maintain the
service to our clients that they expect in order that they can keep their
business operations going successfully. To help encourage our drivers to
cover even more account work than they already do, the Board is
implementing two incentive schemes. You automatically qualify for both
provided you reach the prescribed criteria placed on each scheme...
Scheme 1: Win a Rover 25...
Every completed account ride in November and December will
count as ONE point. However, if you accept an account ride between
07:00hrs and 10:00hrs or 20:00hrs to 00:00hrs, or any Westminster (40704)
trip at any time, they will count as double ie two points. When you have
reached 25 points, your call sign will be issued with a credit. At the end
of the incentive period, all your credits will be entered into a draw and
the first three different call signs drawn will win a car each. As an
example, after the two-month period, if you have accumulated 200 points,
you will have eight credits in the draw giving you eight chances of
winning the wonderful Rover 25 car! However, you MUST complete a minimum
of 120 credit rides in the two-month period to qualify.
Scheme 1 is only open to members. We are unable to include
journeymen, as it would be contravening the rules of a private lottery. So
remember, the more account rides you complete, the more chances you will
have to be one of the lucky three winners and drive away with a brand new
Rover 25...!
Scheme 2: Cash incentives to cover extra account
work...
For every account ride you complete between 1 November and 31 December
2000 above the total amount of credit rides you undertook for the same
period last year, the Society will pay you £5. If you have joined the
Society since 31 December 1999, we will pay £5 for every completed trip
that you undertake during the two-month period in excess of 200 trips.
Indeed, 200 trips is the minimum threshold for all members to qualify for
incentive scheme 2.
Scheme 2 is open to both members and journeymen.
DaC Chairman Brian Rice told Call Sign: "It is paramount that

busy period in order that we remain as first choice
supplier for their ground transportation requirements. We hope that by
giving away three of the new, sensational Rover 25 cars in addition to
financial incentives, that we are showing how important our subscribers
increased coverage is to the Society. And of course, let me wish everyone
the best of luck..."
Like all good competitions, there are several terms and conditions.
These are...
- All rides must be completed to qualify for schemes 1 and 2.
Cancelled or
scrubbed trips will not be included.
- The Board of Management's decision on any matter connected with
schemes 1
and 2 will be final and binding.
- The promoters of scheme 1 are Brian Rice and Keith Cain who have
been so
authorised by the Board of Management.
- Scheme 1 is only open to members of the Society and no prizes will
be
distributed to any persons other than those members whose call signs
are
drawn. Scheme 1 is not open to journeymen.
- No member may win more than 1 prize under scheme 1. If two or more
identical call signs are drawn, then the second and/or third identical
call signs will be removed from the draw and the draw will be
repeated.
And from Call Sign Magazine, good luck to all..
