Millennium
Dome
As I’m sure you are well aware, there has been much confusion and
anger at the complacency shown at the Greenwich Millennium Dome with
reference to taxi ranks and pick up points for drivers and passengers.
I am now pleased to tell you that some of the problems have been
resolved.
I have included a map of the
Millennium Experience site
and
instructions issued by the new Management at the Dome.
The taxi rank is provided in two parts. There is a feeder
rank located within the area formally known as Kiss
& Ride, detailed on the enclosed map, plus a main taxi rank for
six cabs at the central reservation on the coach loop near the admission
entrance. As well as a rank for six taxis, there is a rank for 2
pre-booked cabs at the rear of the main rank. It is important to know that
the taxi rank will serve both The Dome and North Greenwich Station (no
hanging up).
Drivers bringing able body passengers to The Dome should drop off near
the Taxi Feeder

where there is a short walk to the entrance. Disabled passengers can be
taken to the Orange Badge Holders Car Park; Taxis will be permitted only to
drop off.
Please remember the site is on private ground, therefore changes to
these arrangements could take place without prior notice.
First Aid Course
Due to the interest shown with reference to a previous article about First Aid
training, I am pleased to tell you that a two-day Lifesaver Plus First Aid
Course has been arranged at Brunswick House. The course is open to drivers,
their families and staff.
The course is 10 hours, split over two consecutive Saturdays on 8th
& 15th April with a starting time of 09.00 hrs at a cost £45.

the course is fourteen.
