Call Sign welcomes it's latest correspondent, 16 year old Zara Gee and
her views on a young world...
Hi! This is a new column with me - just an ordinary 16-year-old kid
named Zara writing for kids going through the traumatic time of being every
parent's nightmare - a teenager! At least that's what they keep telling me.
Well come on, let's face it, who do you go to if you need money? Or
transport? Or just a helping hand? Yep, that's right, the people that
conceived and brought you up, those almost human, parents.
In these columns, I'll regularly feature TV storylines, film reviews,
webpages and music. These will be alongside your views and reviews on things
going on around this global place we live on - known as planet Earth. So
write in and let me know what you think.
Showbiz
While we're sitting here in typically wintry London, over in Hollywood
Catherine Zeta Jones has finally said yes to that crinkly, but fabulous
actor Michael Douglas. It has also been revealed that she wants to become
Jewish like her future husband - not to mention a little Douglas being on
the way! I bet they don't even have time to watch television...!
TV
If you are a big Dawsons Creek fan who can't wait for the next series, I've
heard that Andi, a character who was once involved with Pacey, is about to
return. Also, Dawson gets caught on his school stage doing something pretty
risky with a new character called Eve, who is played by ex-Sweet Valley twin
Jessica. What is the world coming to...
Don't you just love it when you find out a really juicy storyline for your
favourite programme? I've managed to dig out of dark corners some
forthcoming storylines for Neighbours. And sorry, you won't be seeing
another classic Neighbours wedding because she turns him down! So there! The
new teacher, Teresa Bell, is married to a wife-beater. Tad finds out he was
adopted and his whole world gets turned upside down. He turns to drinking
and

ends up unconscious on the Bishops' floor with alcohol poisoning.
Could that be all? Well the scriptwriters obviously didn't
think so because Amy is to have an affair with her ex-lover Damien and falls
pregnant while going out with Lance. What is a girl to do? Well, I can
reveal though that she will be leaving the soap for a start...
Websites
While I was whizzing around on the Internet (as you do) trying to
ring up an awfully large 'phone bill, I found two web pages which are really
amusing. The first address is www.bored.com.
This site is designed for people who go on the net, and, well quite
frankly...are bored! It has everything to cure the problem including popping
bubble wrap by rolling your mouse over a computerised wrapping and listening
to it pop! Plus jokes, jigsaw puzzles and over 100,000 song lyrics - and
that's just skimming the surface!
The ultra ultimate website I found this month though has to be www.z100.com.
This website takes popular songs such as Jennifer Lopez' If you had my Love
and Will Smiths' Miami and does a voice over changing the words to humorous
ones. Cool, right...?!
At the moment my absolute favourite is in jukebox #2 and is
called '(They Grew) Crazy', a take off from Britney Spears single 'Crazy'.
The title completely explains itself don't you think? Try singing it with
the revised words, though not in public, people might give you a jaw-dropper
look!

Music
The lovely-jubbly people at Our Price in Southgate have let me
into the secrets of singles that are out at the moment or are coming out in
the next few weeks! If you're a fan of TV's Casualty, you'll know by now
that the receptionist played by Rebecca Wheatley has just released a single
called 'Stay with Me Baby'. Destined for big things...
One single that has been playing on various radio stations
since the beginning of Feb is called Dirty Water by a group called Made In
London. Release due March 27. Pretty catchy tune, so prepare yourselves for
another one of those cranium blowers!
Remember a man who I once went crazy over in my youth named
Gary Barlow? Well yes fans, he's now back with a new single called 'Lie to
Me'. I'd be lying to you if I didn't say that it would be a hit. Bit old
though, isn't he...? Release due March 27.
Other artists bringing out singles this month include 5ive, Lou
Bega, Chemical Brothers, Blink 182, Dr. Dre, Craig David, Destinys Child,
Savage Garden and others who include the Spiceless Melanie C...
Moving on to albums; on the verge are Oasis with 'Standing On
The Shoulder Of Giants' (Feb 28), Thunderbugs with 'Delicious' (March 20)
and 'Various Artists' collaborating on the Ministry Of Sound-Renaissance
(March 20).
The Time Has Come...
That's it till next month. Please email me with your views on any
interesting stuff or even if you want to see something in the next Teenworld.
If you need info on a particular artist(s) single/album release date, write
and I'll do my best to get the info for you. Let me hear your views on the
latest big movies Toy Story 2 and The Beach.
Meanwhile if there is any music or videos you want, nip down
to your nearest Our Price and they will give you quick, convenient service!
My e-mail address is: Hunny71345@aol.com
or write to Call Sign...
Bye...
